Background

This project is designed for a delivery company that operates a fleet of over 100 trucks. The company faces challenges with drivers not adhering to "Stop engine" regulations in Hong Kong, exhibiting poor driving habits, and delay maintenance causing premature vehicle breakdowns. Additionally, the management seeks to implement a realtime monitoring system for the vehicles.

Project Overview

By installing IoT devices, including GPS and CAN Bus machines, onto each vehicle, we can collect comprehensive data on vehicle usage, start/end times, driving speed, and routes. The system will provide real-time tracking and monitoring of each vehicle, as well as manage driver and vehicle information.

This project aims to leverage advanced IoT technology to optimize fleet management, enhance driver accountability, and ensure the longevity and reliability of the company's vehicles.

Key Features

Real-Time Tracking

The system allows the admin to view the location, driving route, and speed of each vehicle at any time.

Driver Behavior Monitoring

By analyzing driving habits, the system can identify and correct poor driving practices.

Vehicle Condition Monitoring

The system tracks fault codes and other diagnostic information from the CAN Bus, notifying the admin of potential issues.

Maintenance Reminders

Automated reminders for vehicle maintenance are generated based on usage data and fault codes.
